The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) hosted their Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute on the storied grounds of CDF Haley Farm in Clinton, TN. The Proctor Institute is where faith leaders and activists sing, pray, strategize, struggle, organize, and advocate. This powerful event refreshes and renews faith leaders so we can continue the hard, hopeful, sacred work of pursuing justice for children and their families. Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative (SRBWI) members and young women participated in a stimulating week on the farm with a renewed focus on making lives better for all.
